Paintings Etc is proud to present worksof 14 Indian artists in a group show titled “Doors of Perception”. Theexhibition features established names like Niren Sen, Kalicharan Gupta, ManojKachangal, Vijender Sharma , R K Yadav and newer talents like Manoj Balyan,Ravinder Tomer, Vazda Khan and Gurukinkar Dhang.
The exhibition takes its title froma phrase in William Blake's 1793 poem ‘The Marriage of Heaven and Hell’ Blakewrote “If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to manas it is: infinite.” We only see a little of what actually is through the lensof our past experiences. Our individual perceptions are clouded by our innatepsychological tendencies and by our unique interaction with the environment inwhich we exist. If only we could see things clearer, not only physically butspiritually and emotionally will we understand the true meaning of life.
